The Hate Play

“We’re mates, yeah. Are we mates coz we’re the same? Or are we mates no matter what we are? Coz you might not like it if we ain’t the same. Coz you might hate it if we’re different.”

Developed in partnership with Essex Police, The Hate Play is an interactive performance portraying the devastating impact of victimisation and hate crime on a group of young friends.

The Hate Play is part of the October Festival of Theatre for Children and Young People.

Age recommendation: 11+
